Knew he was ill.

Sad to see him go. Was brilliant in everything he ever did.

Scunthorpe!

Real shame

One of the first British crime dramas I was turned on to and one of the best still.

Pretty decent in the more recent Saville-like story.

Re: Robbie Coltrane
In Cracker - Fitz was one of the great chacterisations ever.

As an old fart I have the complete box set on DVD and rewatch it regularly.

In fact to night I'll prob watch my favourite episode "To Be A Somebody " - Carlyle as Albie Kinsella - Bilborogh's murder one of the most powerful couple of hours of TV ever.

As to cause of death - given his history - perhaps Jimmy McGovern put the words into his character's mouth -

" I drink too much, I smoke too much, I gamble too much, I am too much "

RIP big fellah

Starred in so many comedy greats from my childhood - The Comic Strip, The Young Ones and Blackadder to name a few.

But as mentioned his greatest role was Fitz in Cracker.

R.I.P.

Colly.

Celtic have now lost 7 champions league games at home in a row.

Is that a record?
